a landmark destination

Just outside your door awaits the city's only in-residence Starbucks. Succumb to the many temptations of great shops and must-try restaurants in University City, University Square, or nearby Center City.

Evenings might find you taking in the thriving live-music scene or mingling with art-lovers at a neighborhood gallery. On weekends, why not unwind poolside with a good book or gather your thoughts in the Domus courtyard? And there’s more – your neighborhood train lines at 30th Street Station can send you packing for a weekend in Atlantic City, New York or DC.

Domus is also home to a monumental public artwork by internationally acclaimed artist Dennis Oppenheim. Wave Forms includes six 20-ft bell sculptures and many lineal patterned pathways which simulate "sound waves" crisscrossing and colliding across the Domus courtyard floor. The bell sculptures are tactile, offering both residents and visitors the unique opportunity to walk in, around and through the exhibit. Wave Forms is the latest addition to Philadelphia's extraordinary collection of public artworks, making University City and Domus truly a "museum without walls" destination.
